COUNSELLING
Why choose relationship counselling?
Relationships play a vital role in our well-being, but they can also be complex and challenging at times.
Whether you are a couple looking to enhance your connection, or going through a separation/divorce, friends seeking to strengthen bonds, a family navigating challenging dynamics, or looking for a deeper relationship with yourself – I am here to support you.
Couple Therapy
Strengthening communication, resolving conflicts, and rebuilding trust. Together with your therapist, you will work towards a treatment plan that is specifically tailored to your unique needs and goals, aiming to foster a healthier, more fulfilling relationship. For separated or divorced parents, therapy can also facilitate co-parenting, enhancing cooperation and creating a supportive environment for the children.

By investing in therapy, individuals can cultivate more satisfying, fulfilling and harmonious relationships in all areas of their lives.

How it works?
Relationship counselling works by providing a supportive and structured environment for individuals, couples, friends, or families to address concerns, improve communication, and foster healthier relationships. Here’s an overview of how the process typically unfolds: assessment session; goal setting; working on essential skills. Relationship counselling aims to help individuals unlock their true potential within their relationships by exploring personal beliefs, addressing past experiences and fostering self-awareness. By gaining insight into your patterns, strengths, and areas for growth, you can make conscious choices that lead to more fulfilling and meaningful life.
Therapy provides a safe and supportive environment for exploring and understanding oneself on a deeper level. This increased self-awareness allows you to identify areas for personal growth and change your unhelpful beliefs. Therapy can also help you: develop skills for managing and regulating your emotions; Building self-esteem and self-acceptance; Resolving past traumas; Enhancing self-care.
It’s important to note that therapy is a collaborative process, and the benefits can vary depending on the individual’s goals, commitment, and the therapeutic approach used.
About half of my clients live in different countries and opt for remote sessions, which have proven to be just as effective as in-person therapy. All that’s required is a quiet and private space where you can comfortably engage in our sessions. Online consultations can be especially beneficial if you have time constraints, geographical limitations, or prefer the convenience of remote sessions.
Sure! Individual therapy can and does provide valuable insights and tools to improve your relationships by: gaining personal insight; developing effective communication skills; setting healthy boundaries; working on personal growth; learning how to regulate your emotions. Only couple therapy requires the presence of both parties in the process.
Yes, relationship counselling can still be beneficial even if you are unsure about staying in the relationship. In fact, relationship counselling can provide you with clarity, support, and guidance as you navigate your feelings and make decisions about the future of your relationship by: exploring of feelings and options; Improving communication; relationship assessment; emotional support; transitioning out of the relationship. Remember, the decision to continue or end a relationship is deeply personal, and counselling can only provide you with the support and guidance you need throughout the process.
The duration of relationship counselling can vary depending on several factors, including the nature of the issues, the willingness of the individuals involved, and the progress made throughout the counselling process. There is no set timeframe for relationship counselling, as each situation is unique. Additionally, the frequency of sessions can also impact the overall duration of counselling. Ultimately, the length of relationship counseling is a collaborative decision between the therapist and the individual(s) where regular communication helps to assess the progress.
The cost of relationship counselling can vary depending on several factors, including the location, the qualifications and experience of the therapist, the type of therapy, and the duration of the sessions. After years of experience in individual therapy as a cognitive-behavioural Psychologist for adults, working with all types of issues and diagnosis, I firmly believe that our individual thoughts, feelings and experiences shape our lives in profound ways. Each of us has a unique and special story to tell!
Equally important are the relationships in our lives. I truly believe that relationships are at the center of all of our experiences and what we wish to build or seek for. I decided to further specialize in couple therapy and clinical sexology because I’m passionate about relationship dynamics and how they significantly influence our lives and future.
My approach values very much the therapeutic relationship and is based on compassion, understanding and a non-judgmental attitude, with emphasis on our emotions. I focus on results and always the well-being of my clients.
As someone who has had diverse work experiences and lived in many different countries, my experience with people from all over the world has shaped my appreciation for different ways of thinking and being, contributing positively to my therapy practice.
I strongly believe that we all have the potential to achieve a balance that brings us peace and satisfying relationships.

Reviews
“Sometimes in the middle of a crisis, it is hard to see through the fog of pain and uncertainty. At a crucial time in my life Diana was able to make me think about my situation with a completely different outlook, without drama and the weight of expectations we are taught to have from an early age. Because of that I didn’t give up on what ended up being the most important relationship of my life, which was able to flourish because I gave it a proper, realistic chance.”

“Last year, following a difficult break up, I was going through a tough time in life, and experiencing panic and anxiety attacks for the first time. It was really scary, and it started interfering with my work and social life. Diana was a big support during that time, and gave me the tools to cope with said attacks. They didn’t seem as scary after that, and eventually they stopped happening. She’s very emphatic and never judged me, which made me feel very comfortable talking with her. I honestly don’t know how I would have survived those terrible times if it wasn’t for her wise advice. Thank you, Diana!”

“I love my mother, but there was a time when I just couldn’t handle it anymore. The way she used to make me feel was destroying me. So, i decided to look for advice and Diana helped me to face this relationship in a different way. Nowadays, when I’m with my mother, I don’t feel hurt anymore.”

“Diana is not only a very good listener, but also very capable at getting to the root of the problem. Being both patient, thorough and detailed, she was able to illuminate deeper issues that needed to be resolved, that we could work through – in a language that could be understood. She was instrumental and supportive in helping and guiding me on the path to recovery, in a kind and empathetic way – and I would thoroughly recommend her.”

“Three words to describe Diana: Pragmatic, insightful and effective. She helped me identify the root causes of some issues and long-standing patterns, and provided me with concrete tools and exercises to address them. My emotional and relational health has noticeably improved since I started working with Diana.”

“I am so thankful for my time working with Diana. I have struggled for years, in more ways than I even recognised. At the time, and even after working with another therapist, I didn’t have the perspective to really make deep change. Thanks to the time, professionalism, care and insight that Diana has given me, I am now much more confident and have many useful techniques to help me when moving forward in life. Nothing will guarantee a perfect life, but now when old patterns emerge, I am able to tackle the challenges in new ways, with Diana’s wisdom ringing in my ear. Diana has many qualities that I really appreciate, however the creativeness of her approach combined with the warmth, consideration, and respect she provides to her clients is truly remarkable. Working with Diana will be a great decision for your future.”
